I am David Gnedt from Austria and this is my IT blog.
Every once a while I will post some IT related stuff I am currently working on. Especially in the next time you can expect some posts about my new gadget, the Nokia N900.
Somebody may wonder why this blog is in English. Although you're right my native language is German, I have decided to not write my posts in German. I thought it would be better to write in English, because English is the "universal language", which is understood by most people. Moreover it gives me the ability to practice some English.
I hope you enjoy reading my blog and please excuse any spelling or grammar mistakes. 😉
how do I apply the update patch? I am new to the n900.
The easiest way is to install titan’s power kernel. Documentation for kernel-power is available at http://wiki.maemo.org/Kernel_Power or you can also follow my Kismet guide https://david.gnedt.at/blog/2010/05/11/kismet-fully-functional-monitor-mode-for-the-n900/.
Hello David,
I want to thank you for the great job you’ve done on the wl1251 driver.
I am trying to compile the sources against the new version of the maemo SDK (for the latest P.R).
I just managed to compile compat by modifiyng the kernel version from generic to omap-1 in the makefile.
But for the other modules I did not succeed.
Could you please provide me with any information that can help me ?
Thank you in advance.
Hi David,
Are you still maintaining the linux-phc code or do you have any involvement in the linux-phc.org forum..?
Trying to download the latest phc release but the forum wont allow logins or downloads (php errors all over it)
If its not you, do you have details of who is maintaining, so I can contact them? I’m trying to under-volt a C2D T9800 on a lenovo T400 (on Mint 19.2)
Thanks
John
Hi John,
Sorry, I am not involved anymore with Linux PHC.
Also previously I only maintained the Ubuntu PPA but was never directly involved with the development.
You might have mistaken me with “DavidG” who worked on phc-k8.
I was using the name “lxp” in the linux-phc.org forum.
Best regards,
David
